Mosaic Sculpture - Life Size

My Epiphany, the truth of Christ, came during the days of Theofania January 2016. (Greek Orthodox calendar)That Christmas my daughter was born and my heart was fertile, I had a new interest in creating a human like form and hers was the first of its kind.

In the process of creation I found myself gobsmacked, revealed and illuminated. It felt like I came out of a dark cave and could barely see the light. My ears sensitive to the whisper of the Holy Spirit, my eyes slowly adjusting to the reflection looking back at me. Cleaned and loved.

"Christ’s baptism in the Jordan was “theophany,” a manifestation of God to the world, because it was the beginning of our Lord’s public ministry."

Epiphany changed my lives and the lives of all the people connected to my work, it was the beginning of my ministry.

It is the piece that draws the attention of the viewer first upon seeing the collection for the first time. In my humble expression of God, which is my art, through her we are revealed the truth.

The sculptures that follow her are deeper processes of catharsis, as we see our self within them.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1).
